Business Awareness
This 2 day programme has the students working in teams to create a business. They will cover such topics as sales and marketing, finance, human resources, IT etc and wherever possible will be assisted by business volunteers from these sectors.
They will build up their understanding of how to create and set up a business and will formulate a business plan which the whole team will present at the end of the 2 days. This can be done ‘dragons’ den’ style with business volunteers, teachers or school governors making up the panel of ‘dragons’ to judge who is the winning team.
The business idea can be themed to a particular subject if required by the school eg media, retail etc
